In my words

Adding spiral to re-centre

Next time you need to re-centre, think of adding spiral movements. These movements are deeply somatic, closely engaging the body’s sensory experience and help calm down our mind.

NGO or group events

My teaching journey began by running classes in NGOs, for cancer patients and survivors, inmates in prison, and migrant workers. The unique connection I experience when teaching in these non-profit settings, where I am of service to a meaningful cause, has been the driving force behind my path ever since.

Meet Angora.

Yoga found me in 2010 summer after a long day of desk work. Little did I know how that sixty-minute would forever change the course of my life.  I became instantly intrigued after wiping away the warm tears all over my face after savasana.  Thereafter I practised asana almost daily until I was stopped by a repetitive stress injury.

The break gave me a chance to deepen my relationship with yoga, opening the door to the spirituality & its possibility to underpin one's life as a purpose. It was also about the same time when I relocated from Hong Kong to Vancouver, BC.

I didn’t just move countries—I chose to listen to my heart and fully commit to spreading the light of yoga. I have never looked back and dedicated significant time to deepening my understanding of injury management, therapeutic movements, and anatomy etc, accumulating over 1000 hours of training (and counting).

Some of the major trainings I completed:

200-hour teacher training by Sudevi Sundari, Yoga Paramgati

200-hour teacher training at Sivananda Yoga Camp, Val Morin, Quebec, Canada

200-hour teacher training by Brett Larkin, Uplifted Yoga

85-hour Sacred Birth prenatal yoga teacher training by Awakened Spirit Yoga

50-hour Yin Yoga teacher training by Bernie Clark & Diana Batts

28-hour DONA International Approved Birth Doula training by Doula School International

30-hour Raja Yoga Foundation Course by Hersha Chellaram
